Please ensure you are familiar with our cancellation policies and fees prior to booking and email Jillian@PawsitiveCare.ca with any questions.
Please feel free to bring comfort items from home for your dog (i.e. an old t-shirt that smells like a family member, a favourite toy, or blanket).
Please put your dog’s name or your family name on anything that has a tag or that you can write on to ensure it makes it back home with you after your dog's visit.
Please provide food if your dog eats during the day-time, plus treats if your dog has any food allergies, and include written feeding instructions (amounts, usual time, any allergies, etc.). You are welcome to bring your dog's own food & water bowls and we will have extras on hand that we wash between each guest.
Please bring any medications needed with specific administration and dosing instructions from your dog’s veterinarian.
Please ensure your dog has proper I.D. on his collar with up-to-date contact information either on the tag and on file with your pet's license.
Please bring a regular 6-foot leash (nylon or leather) and a regular collar (buckle preferred). If your dog pulls on walks, or if you prefer using them, please also provide your dog’s harness or head collar.
Please note that we do not use any collars or equipment that may cause the dog pain or fear, including choke or prong collars.
Please ensure all equipment is fitted properly so your dog cannot slip out while on a walk.
Please ensure your veterinary and emergency contact information on file with us on your LeashTime.com profile is up to date. If you need help accessing your profile, please email Jillian@PawsitiveCare.ca - Jillian can either reset your login credentials, or update the profile for you.
If you will be out of town or difficult to reach during the work day, please provide a name and number of a trusted person in town in case of emergency. Please also provide them with our contact information.
**All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations prior to boarding, including bordetella (kennel cough).** The only exceptions are dogs that are medically exempt due to old age or underlying health conditions.
Please note that bordetella vaccinations take approximately 2 weeks to take effect and only last between 6 months to one year, so it is best to book a vet appointment 2-4 weeks before boarding your dog. Ask your veterinarian for recommendations.
Relax and enjoy your time away knowing that your dog is in excellent hands and will be treated as part of our family while you are gone.
Feel free to contact Jillian with any questions at all, and to check in with us during your trip.
