As of January 22, 2021, there have been some slight loosening of restrictions in Manitoba. Please visit the province's Covid-19 information page for further details.
Yes! We are offering dog walking services to anyone who is working outside of their home (i.e. will not be present when our dog walker arrives). We will sanitize our hands before and after each visit and follow all provincial guidelines regarding Covid-19 precautions.
Yes, we are open for Doggy Daycare! Drop-off and pick-up is done outside and all Covid precautions will be followed. Please contact us for details.
Yes! We are offering low-numbers (one family's dog at a time) dog boarding. All visitors must wear masks and sanitize their hands upon arrival. ...Just the human visitors, that is, the dogs don't need to wear masks ;)
We are providing drop-in pet-sitting for those whose travel is deemed essential under the current state of emergency guidelines. If you have travelled outside of the country, you must self-isolate for 14 days or receive a negative Covid test, prior to our staff attending your home. If you are returning from travel outside of the country, you must ensure our pet sitter has left prior to returning to your place of residence.
Meet-and-greet appointments for prospective and new clients are being held outside whenever possible, or can be done virtually. If we must meet indoors all in attendance must wear masks & sanitize hands, and maintain social distance whenever possible.
At this time, we are only offering virtual training consults and availability is very limited. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
For specific information regarding Jillian's availability, please visit Jillian's availability update, or our latest blog post.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If a client is able to work from home, then we are not considered essential if someone in the household is able to provide the necessary care for your pet(s).
If a client has a disability or injury that prevents them from being able to provide this care, or if a client is an essential service worker and must continue to work, then we are able to continue providing care.
Dog walking and pet care visits only for essential service workers or clients physically unable to provide these necessities for their pet(s) at this time.
Boarding or pet sitting for essential service workers only, and only if the client is away from home for an extended period to perform work related to those essential services.
Unfortunately doggy daycare will not be available while Code Red restrictions are in place.
Pet training consultations and services will be available by virtual consult only.
Unfortunately Manitoba's second wave of Covid-19 has been among the worst in Canada, and per capita we currently have the most cases. As a result, Manitoba has gone into a Code Red pandemic response.
As pet care providers, we are considered essential when providing care for pets. This means we should only be visiting the homes of clients who are themselves considered essential workers and must go to work, or for any reason cannot provide care for their pets and need us to do so. Otherwise our staff should not be attending client homes or interacting with others outside of their own households per the code red mandate.
Please read our blog post for more information on specific service changes during the code red response.
Please visit the province's Covid-19 website for further information.
If you have specific questions about our services or our Covid-19 safety precautions, please email Jillian@PawsitiveCare.ca
Please read our blog post for more information on specific service changes during the code red response.
We are following all guidelines and mandates issued by the Province of Manitoba. At this time it is mandated that all persons wear masks in public spaces and when unable to socially distance.
We are following all guidelines and mandates issued by the Province of Manitoba. Also, if we do visit client homes, we are spending as little time inside as possible in order to limit our contacts with other households, even if no one is home at the time.
As always, we will wash our hands at the beginning and end of each pet care visit and dog walk.
We will maintain social distancing practices while out on dog walks, keeping 6 feet away from others during our walks. We will conduct new client meets outdoors when possible, and will maintain social distancing during any in-person interactions with others.
Staff and clients will report to us any signs or symptoms of illness. Staff will stay home if unwell and we will not visit the home of a client who is unwell. Our staff will use the Shared Health MB Assessment Tool each day before leaving home.
Because our staff work independently, mostly outdoors, and usually visit homes when clients are at work or on holidays, our services are very low-risk for spreading illness between people.
Click here to learn about how we also work hard to prevent spreading illness from one family's pets to another.
We will continue to follow any and all recommendations and requirements set out by the Government of Manitoba and the Chief Medical Officer.
While we may be operating with reduced services due to the pandemic, we no doubt will be up and running at full capacity some time in the new year (hopefully sooner than later!)
In the mean time, a gift certificate is a great way to give a safe and personalized gift for the animal lover on your list. We have a variety of options for gift card amount and online payments.
Please contact Jillian with any questions. Stay safe and see you soon!
We can't wait to see our furry friends again!
Returning to work soon and needing professional pet care? We can help!
*We have ONLY been providing services to essential workers for the month of April and have always maintained social distancing protocols.
*We continue to wash our hands before and after every visit, as always.
*We are only returning to dog walking and pet sitting on a gradual basis for people whose workplaces are beginning to re-open.
*Our staff work independently and only visit family pets, so it is very easy for us to maintain social distancing and minimize any risk.
*Our first priority is the health and safety of our clients, their pets, our staff, and our community.
